Action Curve Tool

Before working on a trailer I like to map out our journey. This tool is extremely convenient to create that all too important roadmap in an instant. Feel free to use how ever you want and please let me know how this has helped make your own trailers awesome.

Here's another very useful tool to map out parts of your story. Cluster maps are not a new idea but I haven't really seen anywhere that provides a clean way to create them till now. Enjoy mapping out your ideas!

Film School Playlist

I'm a working editor who watches way too much Youtube. Throughout my career, I've met many talented people looking for advice on making their work better.

What I always seem to refer back to are these videos. This list is ever-evolving and has quite a bit of overlap, but I think after watching these, you'll transform into a much better filmmaker. My suggestion is to watch the first few videos and start skipping as you find the information you've already learned.

This list has everything from overall story structure, lighting, blocking, and technical information about the job.I hope this helps you in some way and if you find a certain video helpful, check out the Youtube page. All of these creators are amazing at what they do.
